GAME CONCEPT ---

The Weight of Light

about game ----------------

 

it is a single-player psychological adventure game with visual novel elements.


The story takes place in a dark spiritual world where humans, gods, and spirits coexist in an unstable balance.

A Short Backstory ------------------------------------------------------

 

After a devastating war, the world collapsed into Darkness. As humanity lost faith in itself, gods were born from fear, imagination, and the need to believe.

The gods did not restore the world completely, instead creating a limited, controlled light where a single city could exist. Humanity survived, but never fully recovered.

The game focuses on silence, observation, and inner choice rather than combat, exploring themes of faith, fear, stagnation, and the cost of light

Aelith ----------------------

 

one of the gods born from human belief.
Unlike the others, she sees humanity not as worshippers, but as living, suffering beings.

She wishes to bring change, understands a tragic truth: the disappearance of the Darkness would mean the end of the gods including herself.

gods

The gods exist as long as they are remembered dwelling above the clouds in a realm sustained by belief.
Darkness and mist are necessary for their existence — without them, the gods would vanish.

Spirits

they were created by the gods as intermediaries, traveling between the sky and the city to deliver messages and omens.
Though they know more than humans, they possess little individuality or freedom, existing as part of a system rather than personal will.
They belong fully to neither world.

humans

Humans live in a city beneath a weak, pale light, wearing nearly identical white garments and leading repetitive, stagnant lives.
Beyond the city lies complete Darkness, which most fear to enter, while faith in the gods provides order but enforces dependence and passivity.
 

Rhen ------------------------

an ordinary resident of the city beneath the light — a young man, born in a simple family and working basic labor jobs.
Quiet and introspective, he observes more than he speaks, questioning the contradictions of the world and the true nature of the light, the gods, and the Darkness beyond the city.

Case #2

Mushroom Character Design

This project is a character design exploration focused on stylized mushroom creatures. The characters are designed in a soft, slightly cartoonish style, emphasizing simplicity of form and clear silhouettes.

ABOUT CHARACTERS --------------------------------------------------

 

Some characters feature subtle facial elements such as eyes, a mouth, or a nose, introducing personality without turning them into fully anthropomorphic figures. Expression is suggested rather than stated, allowing form, color, and proportion to carry emotion.

The project focuses on shape language, texture, and mood, serving as a study of how minimal details can suggest character, warmth, and individuality while maintaining a unified visual style
